Twitter in The Guardian
May 8th, 2008 by Laura H.
The Guardian printed a lengthy guide to using Twitter today. They recognize that there’s a small gap in understanding the purpose of Twitter, but their discussion is limited to the following:
One of the first questions people ask is “what is Twitter for?” As with any social network, the answer is the same: whatever you make of it. Some think that its immediacy makes it ideal for spreading news. Others find it useful to ask questions of their peers; still others, for following what people or topics they’re interested in.
I think there’s a lot more to say about the service and its sociocultural significance, so I am making this the topic of my next episode of Heads Up!.
